Highland Lake Estates Metropolitan District
The Highland Lake Estates Metropolitan District is a governmental entity and political subdivision of the State of Colorado, designed to serve as perpetual quasi-municipal corporation, each operating with an elected five person Board of Directors. The primary purpose of the District is to finance public infrastructure required by the development and to provide on-going governmental structure for the operation and maintenance of retained District improvements and facilities.The District receives funding from a property tax mill levy assessed on properties located within the District boundaries.
